Step 1:
Use ground turkey to make meat balls. It's super lean and just as deelish.
Add:
1 Egg
A small handful of (CLEAN) breadcrumb variation: I used ground flax seeds. This is to help the turkey stick when you mold them into balls!
Add some minced garlic, black pepper and fresh dill to the meat for flavouring!
Use a tea spoon (or your hands) to make small balls. Put them on a a lightly greased baking sheet and bake them at 350 for 20-25 minutes *use your judgement.*
While that's cookin, start to simmer a tomato sauce (look for one jarred in the natural section of your grocery store, one with low sugar). You're gonna add the meatballs to the sauce once they are done cookin'.
During the light simmer, sauttee some sliced pepper, mushrooms, and onions!
YOU'RE ALMOST DONE. Opt out of the large bun and instead toast a slice of ezekiel bread. People, I KNOW it doesn't sound AS appetizing, but honestly, it's really good and totally satisfying.
Serve a few meatballs on top of your ekezial toast, add the sauteed veg and a sprinkle of low fat mozeralla.
Serve with a small green salad (I <3 Kale!)
